This is a small personal notebook. I write here when a walk, a book or a weekend project leaves me with something worth keeping — mostly for my own future reference.

The name comes from an owl that sat on our fence for most of one winter and never once let me get close enough for a decent photo.

The site is plain HTML on purpose: it loads fast, it has no scripts, and it will still work in twenty years.
